Harmony Development Center was established in 2001 with a dream by its founder Myriam Campo-Goldman. She was committed in promoting positive behavior among youth within their families, schools and communities. With the help of organizations like the Dan Marino Foundation, Harmony was able to start its way into what it is today.

Harmony Development Center Inc. (HDC) has established itself as a strong presence in Broward County in only six (6) short years. HDC has found its niche in providing highly specialized diversion services to youth and their families, funded continually from City and local government entities for the past five (5) years.

Harmony Development Center has earned the respect of several government and community service agencies in Broward County due to its work with the difficult juvenile offender population.

HDC has been recognized by the Children’s Services Council as one of the “Successful Emerging Organizations” at the Child Welfare League of America, Juvenile Justice National Symposium 2005 (Better Outcomes for At-Promise Youth: Innovative Funding Solutions through Collaborative Partnership)‏.

HDC has been recognized by the State Attorney’s Office and the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office for referrals of cases to juvenile programs as an alternative to judicial sanctions (diversion program).

HDC received a three year funding award from the Children’s Services Council, Children Services Board, Department of Juvenile Justice.

The City of Lauderhill, included Harmony’s Civil Citation Program in its successful application for the National All-American Cities Award and presented to Harmony a Proclamation on May 8th, HDC has expanded its programs through Broward County at its four mayor locations: Coral Springs,  Lauderhill, Pembroke Pines and Miramar. 

We provide our services in the mayority of Broward County schools and we have have mayor offices located at: Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Lauderhill and Coral Springs.
